1. Who we are

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to every Christmas order, whether you place it on this website, in our shop or with us by phone. Please read them with our Refund and cancellation policy and Privacy notice.

3. Your order is a reservation

  • When you place an order, we set the items aside for you and email you a confirmation with your order number.
  • Most of our meat is sold by weight, and we can't know exactly what your joint or bird weighs until it's picked and packed in December. So the prices you see when ordering are estimates.
  • Your final order total is worked out when your items are weighed and bagged, and you pay the balance when you collect.

4. Prices and weights

  • Items sold by weight show a weight range and an estimated price: the price per kilo (or per pound, where shown) times the middle of that range, rounded to the nearest 5p.
  • The final price of each item is the price per kilo or per pound shown when you ordered times the actual weight of what you receive. It may be a little more or a little less than the estimate.
  • We pick the item nearest the range you chose. Sometimes that means it sits slightly outside it.
  • Items with a fixed price are charged at that price.
  • Prices include VAT where it applies.

5. Turkeys and the £20 deposit

  • Every turkey carries a £20 deposit. Two turkeys is £40.
  • Pay it by card when you order, or choose Pay later and pay it from your order page (the link is in your confirmation email) by Wednesday 2 December 2026.
  • If you order from Thursday 3 December, the deposit is paid by card when you order.
  • The deposit comes off your final order total when you collect. It isn't an extra charge.
  • It's non-refundable if you cancel, and refunded in full if we cancel or can't supply your turkey. See our Refund and cancellation policy.
  • If it's still unpaid after 2 December, we'll get in touch. If it remains unpaid from Wednesday 9 December, we may cancel the turkey and offer it to someone else.

6. Paying towards your order early

  • You can pay towards your order by card from your order page at any time before collection, from £10 up to 80% of your estimated balance.
  • We cap it at 80% because weighed items can come in under estimate.
  • Anything you've paid comes off your final order total. If you've paid more than your final order total, we refund the difference to your original payment method.
  • Early payments are always refundable if your order is cancelled.

7. Paying the balance

You pay whatever is left when you collect, by card or cash.

8. Collection

  • Collection is on Wednesday 23 December 2026 at the farm: Laburnum Farm, Laburnum Lane, Great Sankey, Warrington, WA5 3LE. When you arrive, our staff will direct you.
  • Collection times are allocated by us. When you order, tell us whether you'd prefer morning or afternoon, or have no preference, and we'll do our best to match it, subject to availability. We'll email your collection time in mid-December. You can change it from your order page until the end of Sunday 20 December, subject to availability. After that, email us.
  • Please arrive within your time, with your order number or the QR code from your email.
  • Collecting on another day is by arrangement only.
  • If you can't make it, contact us as soon as you can. If your order isn't collected by the end of 23 December and we can't reach you, it counts as cancelled by you: your turkey deposit is kept and any other payment is refunded.

9. Substitutions, and if we can't supply something

  • We're a farm, and supply isn't always in our hands. If we can't supply something, we'll tell you as soon as we know. You won't pay for it, and any deposit or payment for it is refunded.
  • Occasionally we may offer a substitute. We'll make it clear when you collect, and you're free to say no. If you do, you don't pay for it, and if it was a turkey, its deposit is refunded.

10. Changing or cancelling your order

  • You can add items from your order page until the date shown there, subject to availability.
  • To remove or change items, or to cancel, email us by Wednesday 16 December 2026.
  • After that, contact us and we'll do what we can.
  • What's refunded when you cancel is set out in our Refund and cancellation policy.

11. Gift vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are collected with your order and can be spent in our farm shop all year round.
  • Each voucher is valid until the date printed on it.
  • You can cancel a gift voucher for a full refund within 14 days of collecting it, as long as it hasn't been used.

Your confirmation email includes a private link to your order page. Anyone with the link can see your order, add to it and pay towards it, so please don't share it.

  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
  • Fresh meat and poultry spoil quickly, so the usual 14-day right to cancel an online order doesn't apply to them (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28(1)(d)). You can still cancel before collection as set out above. Gift vouchers keep the 14-day right (section 11).
  • If anything is wrong with your order, tell us at collection, or contact us as soon as possible and before cooking. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply.

14. Allergens

Each product page shows its allergen information, or tells you to email us for it. If you have an allergy or intolerance, please check before ordering, and email us if anything's unclear.

15. Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We don't limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from one Christmas to the next. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page when you placed it.

17. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
